For
Earlene
Let
time undo,
what time will do
Let life undo,
what life will do
Let sea pass through,
what sea will do
Let air renew,
what air will do
Let night undo,
what you've been through
Let day repay,
its burning wound
Let clay resume,
what clay consumes
Let leaves fall down,
where lovers knew
Let grass grow up,
to nothing knew
Let all that's true remain untrue
You see,
there's always much to do,
for those who do not try,
Remaining in the garden,
Remaining in your eye.
To
a Girl
My
captive seagull,
I see you've come over,
To be held in my arms,
Wing and bony leg protruding
Escaping
the scene,
Confusion in eye,
Fled to the room,
Fled to the sky,
Returning again,
I must question why?
To be captive again,
In order to fly

Biography
I'm
a 26 year old undergraduate, majoring in History at CUNY Staten
Island. While my main focus is on poetry, I'm also a songwriter
and have studied classical guitar with Benjamin Verdery. The
rest of my time is spent running and studying Egyptology,
which I hope to pursue in my graduate studies. I've previously
been published by "Psychopoetica."
