Tom Fallon

Tenderly

From Ben Webster

In the soft light, slowly peeling
away the layers of the pain,
leaving her naked in the air,
leaving her without her skin.

A Poetry Lover

Last week, I read poetry
at the library

& the cops arrested
a young woman
for conduct
unbecoming a poetry lover -

She was embarrassing -
my God! -
she threw her panties at me
wildly screaming & dancing!
