Jessica O'Loughlin

Moon Lite Sonata

I laugh at a red shadow,
Remember her hand it danced like a puppet,
Loud noise and chaos all a blur,
The dog was conversing with the moon.

Now its quiet and still,
The sand running through my fingers like lighting,
Not yet still her eyes,
A peace ful co-existence no more existing

We used to pass like icebergs,
Tonight I went beyond the looking glass,
Passion, hysteria she confused the two,
The blood rushed to my head,

As the seconds passed on grandfather,
So did she and it was over,
The dog sniffed curiously,
She grew wings and flew away,

Suddenly I hear sirens screaching,
And no more calm and no more quiet,
I trip over broken trees arms,
Snap, crackle, crumble.

Now I should be safe,
Pawning myself off as a truck driver,
Open, quiet road to nowhere,
Just me and the dog.

Biography

I was born 'n' bred in Dublin, D.O.B - 09/01/85, at the moment I am working in a flower shop and am enjoying my job, When I'm not busy enjoying my job I spend my time playing the guitar, writing poetry, writing music, listening to music, reading and walking. I've been writing poetry for a very long time but I think every one of us is writing poetry we just don't realise it.
