Beggars
In
the deaf pool
Tongue-tied sailors
Seek salvation
in single syllables
Their essence founders
In a blunt wave
A cemetery of dead words
Wither on a dry tongue
Sad dumb sailors beg
Ear after ear drops
In their begging bowl.
