Poem
1
The
reflection
Sighs!
Who are you?
Eyes see out
the same
and I still know
your name
but
who
are you?
Really
Seems we've
passed this way before
some fifty years or more
on some convoluted shore
of life?
Yet
I still fail
to know
YOU
Poem
2
Before
you judge me
do you know where I have been?
Payment
has been duly paid
in a lifetime
loss
soaked pillows
emotions
have been through
the wringer
on long nights
nights which have prepared me for this time
… this outpouring
why
the Atlantic
knows well the content of her waters
as Titanic knows its self in crested shoals
all picked pristine by time
before
you judge me
do you know why I act so
why I keep my heart
at beats outside
as mother guards
her ship of many
on solitary, trodden paths
before…just before
Oh
self pity left these doors
many a moon ago
I reside on life
nature
rivers
mountains
oceans
bears
deer
dogs
cats
trees
the birds
yes…and the bees
simplicity at its best
before
you judge me
gaze into the wells of these, my eyes
I am an ocean of emotion
a bomb
needing only one micro-drop of nitro
… to ignite
BOOM!

came the birth of her first child. Deemed as unacceptable

has never allowed her life’s circumstances to pull her down.
It is in fact life’s journeys and episodes that have inspired
this writer not to give up and to make known her love of life
through her poetic endeavors. Charlotte has written over 200
