Quinn Nelson

Stalemate

Whatever has come to mind
Is what I feel tonight
Has become part of my life
Within due time.
Cradle fallen and forgotten dreams
Feeling just alright.

Forced to hail to the intake
Is the plateau of crying
Absorbs the high
Of being ever so mighty.
Alive with the intake
Fires burn inside
Creating a crazy dance
On the lively outside.

It drives to high gear
Then brings you back down.
Smiles will turn into frowns,
Clowns once all out mellow
Turn into deep pits of anguish.
Can't stop laughing
Can't stop smiling
Can't stop the high
That makes you feel......
.....so low.

Climax before it is all over,
Stealing what is left.
Mask the emotion,
A head that is high
Will certainly turn to low.

Slithering snakes
That hold the fear
Gather around the fire of intake
Stealing from the cradle
Grasping what feels real
Times of youth
Will shortly disappear
As a heaven's send.

Whatever has come to mind
Is what I feel tonight
Has become part of my life
Within due time.
Cradle fallen and forgotten dreams
Feeling just alright.

Beaten down I am one
Breathing the spark
That may fall down.
Only if this was my end
I could go home.
Stalemate my life
I know I lost,
It's my turn to lay down
And die.....
