Golden
Child
An
African thunderstorm
The smell of laterite hanging in the air
Each droplet of rain forming circles
Around a Golden Child, in a waterpool.
Arms calling up to deep grey heavens
Blinded by lightning
Banana leaves gliscening, dancing in the wind.
Love
Hearts
Blushing flowers in a jungle of ivy
The throbbing pavement
Beneath my red sandals.
Frankinscence emanating from a Church
Candles and saints silently calling
Through its open doors.
Lifting me back to you;
So palpable and sacred
Is the invisible thread
Connecting our love hearts.
Everywhere
& Nowhere
Leaves rustling in the breeze,
An empty parkbench
Bathed in afternoon light.
A rusty blue bicycle
Leaning against a fence.
There you are,
Everywhere and nowhere
At once
Holding me in the cool air.
