Life
Life's
maelstrom dances - swirls around
To unheard rhythms played by angel bands
Chaotic and dark yet brilliantly bright
The unseen giver of gifts watches ... waits ... expectantly
While those who dance life's jigs and reels
Soar high on its waves,
Relax in its swells
And crash on unseen reefs at unexpected shores
To be plucked up by the giver,
Mended and healed
And graced beyond understanding
for entering into so sacred a challenge.

Biography
I
am an American-Irish. Born in 1951 in Chicago. My Irish Grandparents
were born in Mitchelstown and Emly and emigrated to the U.S.
in the early part of the 20th century. I am single - and enjoy
being "Aunt" to my niece and nephews. I graduated from De
Paul University in 1973 with a teaching degree - and am currently
employed as a Computer programmer at a Fortune 500 company
located near Chicago. I enjoy writing children stories as
a hobby - but have never published anything. Periodically
I play around with poetry. For fun I belong to the Old St.
Patrick's choir. (check us out at oldstpats.org)
We recently toured in Ireland and performed at the Galway
Arts Festival - which was a total hoot.
